I have been supervising the yearbook staff at our school for twenty years. In that time, we have moved from the old-fashioned cut-and-paste methods of assembling a book to publication software, digital images, and online proofs. My co-sponsor for all that time, Jeff DeVries, and I have navigated all of these new conventions with an ever-changing staff of teenagers, and have developed some ways of making the process feel more like fun and less like work. I am hoping to hear from a lot of other yearbook advisers about the way your schools handle things, so please consider bringing a copy or two of the yearbooks you've worked on. These "Loaves & Fishes" work best when we can all share our ideas!
